Employee Engagement

Sambhav Foundation provides for effective engagement of employees in social initiatives. We promote a culture of volunteering and commitment of social leadership.

Based on a study conducted by Towers Perrin Global Workforce 2007-2008, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the 3rd most important driver for employee engagement.  Besides helping employees in improving their planning, organisational and execution skills, CSR also fosters a culture of team building among the employees when they work together for a social cause.

When employees meet outside the work environment for the purpose of doing social good they also connect with each other at a personal level since the environment is more relaxed. When employees’ families are also brought into the fold of CSR activities, it gives them an opportunity to increase their social circle, augmenting employee engagement to a higher level.

How to engage employees through CSR?

  • Fund raising
    • Employees can raise funds by setting out to secure bulk orders from their social circles for handcrafted items designed by Sambhav children
    • Employees can participate in a 25km cycling/running event in the city to raise funds for improving the lives of children of migrant workers
    • Raising funds for a single child through employees’ social circles with the help of offline and online marketing activities (social media activities)
  • Matching gift program
    • The organisation can match the efforts of an employee, participating in a social cause, with monetary donations.  Every hour an employee spends in volunteering for Sambhav School, the company can contribute a fixed amount to Sambhav.
  • Woman employee engagement
    • Women workforce can volunteer to spread the message of hygiene and sanitation for girls and women in semi-urban and urban slums and rural areas
  • Educating underprivileged children
    • Volunteers can provide basic education to the children of migrant workers on various subjects every weekend. For instance, employees can teach computer skills and English

Who can volunteer?

Based on aptitude and interest, an employee can volunteer in any of the above CSR activities. For projects like creating a sustainable project, developing a website, mentoring an entrepreneur, creating compelling stories or  formulating a digital marketing strategy, employees need to possess professional skills in these areas.

When specialists use their expertise for a social good, there is a sense of self-realization that no amount of professional success can bring.

Infrastructure Support

Sambhav Foundation works with people through its training programs and other initiatives. We gladly welcome individuals/organizations willing to share their infrastructure with us, either full time or on a fixed time.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Not only can CSR models help in increasing brand value and revenue, they promote change and progress throughout the world, which often involves helping people with few or no resources. Corporate Social Responsibility gives a chance to all the employees of an organization to contribute towards the society, environment and the country.

The involvement of companies in social activities helps in enhancing corporate image and leads to improved publicity which in turn can help in expanding market share. CSR encourages companies to work closely with the local community as their key stakeholders and contribute resources to the community and improve quality of life. Sustainable development will not be achieved through government actions alone. It requires helpful hands from all stakeholders including the business entities through the CSR initiatives.

Sambhav Foundation partners with corporates for impactful design and implementation of sustainable CSR initiatives. We work towards a positive change in women, youth and children through skill development, entrepreneurship, and education enhancement that drive shared value. At Sambhav, years of experience have enabled us to build a strong team that strives to nurture disadvantaged communities and children with special needs by empowering them with the right infrastructure, education and means of livelihood.
